Mini sessions FAQ
Below are a few questions received concerning mini sessions.
What is a mini session?
During certain times of the year demand increases for sessions. Fall being the most popular. Offering minis allows for shorter sessions to accommodate more families. They are limited edition sessions with special product offerings as well.
How long is a mini session?
15-20 minutes which makes it easy for little ones and older children with extracurricular activities on the weekends.
When should we arrive?
Because minis are booked back-to-back, there is no wiggle room. Families are asked to arrive 5-10 minutes early. If you are running late, your session will either be cut short or pushed to the end of the day.
What is included?
Each year there is a different package. But most packages include a few digital files and a print.
What should we wear?
Please do not match! You do not match everyday, so do not during your session. Moms and dads look great in neutral and earth tone colors. Jeans are fine. Your goal is to be comfortable. I normally advise my clients to wear a date night outfit. You want the kids to complement your outfit. Choose a basic color palette and go from there!
How many people are included?
Fall mini-sessions are designated for immediate family members only. If you would like to book a session with extended family I would recommend a full session.
What is the cancellation policy?
Mini-sessions are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. Please make sure before booking that you are available on the date and time you book! Your session maybe transferred to a future session if you cannot make it because of illness or other circumstances.
What if it rains, do you offer a rain date?
YES! Rain dates are always announced prior to booking. Please be sure you are available for both dates in the case of bad weather. If for some reason you cannot make the rain date and you cancel with more then 24 hours notice you can use the credit towards a future session.
Can I give or sell my mini-session to someone else?
Yes! You can gift or sell your mini-session if you are unable to attend.
How long before I receive my gallery?
Images will be emailed to you via a password protected online gallery. Please allow 2 weeks for your gallery to be available. An email will be sent to you once your gallery is ready to be viewed. You choose the date you would like your gallery to be activated and you will then have 3 days to place your order. If you need to go beyond the 3 days there is a $35 reactivation fee. Make sure you pick the best three days that works for you.
Can I purchase more images then what is included in my package?
Yes, you can purchase extra images that were not included in your package. There is a special price for all digitals in the gallery since the number is lower than the full gallery. Contact me for a detailed price list.
